We, too, appreciate getting updates on the progress of other families because it encourages us along our journey. It is great to be able to support others along the way and to share in their ups and downs, in the hopes that someone will also take joy in hearing about our family someday.

Thanks for the blog update. We love seeing everyone’s adoption progress and are very excited for all of the families. We hope to be on our second trip very soon. We miss our kids so much and can’t wait to finally be a forever family. Thank you for everything everyone at St. Mary’s is doing for us and all of the waiting families.

We are going to get Rosetta Stone for sure and begin to learn as much Polish as possible. I’m just curious, but why did you have such a long wait between trips? I was under the impression most families only have a month or so between the first and second trip.

I spent time learning Polish with Rosetta Stone. We had a six month wait between visits so needed to do something to not go insane. It was very helpful especially because Szymon was already speaking.

I really appreciate the advice. I know that’s God’s timing is not always on our schedule, but I also know that his timing will be perfect. I will continue to follow the journey of other families and patiently wait for our miracle.

Brad, the waiting can definitely be hard. I just kept reminding myself that God’s timing is so much better than my own timing. With God all things are possible and He will bring you to your child/children. Following other families blogs and journeys to adopt their kids helps during the wait. It is a wonderful way to learn about the process and to get ideas on things to take/do on your trips. The St. Mary’s families are a wonderful support group for each other through blogs and facebook.
